Q. I have just ordered a repair online, what do I do now?

A. First of all we would like to thank you for your order!

Once you have completed the checkout please send your key fob to the following address:

We recommend that you send your key fob to us using a tracked method of postage i.e. recorded delivery or special next day delivery.

Please make sure that you pay the correct postage before sending your item to us as we cannot accept any deliveries if we have to pay any extra postage.

Q. How long does a repair take?

A. Once we receive your key we will carry out your chosen repair and return it to you usually within 24hrs.

Q. Do you require any additional information from me?

A. When you send us your key please enclose a note with your full name and return address including postcode and a contact telephone number just in case we need to contact you.

Q. Once you have carried out a repair does the remote need to be re-programmed?

A. On occasions your remote key fob may need to be either re synchronised (instructions usually found in owners manual or Internet search) or on rare occasions it may need to be re coded.

If your remote does need to be re coded then this can only be carried out by either a local auto-locksmith or main dealer and we would like to make you aware that while it is rare for the remote to need a re code we cannot under any circumstances be held responsible if it has lost it’s code because there is absolutely no way of testing a key fob for a code meaning that if it has lost it's code we would have no way of knowing if it was lost before or after it arrived with us.

Q. Is the repair service you offer guaranteed?

A. The key fob repair service is covered by our 90 day warranty which means that in the unlikely event that something goes wrong and it is something we have done then we will carry out another repair free of charge, all warranty claims must be accompanied with a full description of the problem and also a copy of the original invoice will be needed as proof that the item was indeed repaired by ourselves.

 Q. I cant see the repair I need on the website, can you still repair my key fob?

A. Quite Possibly! We do update our website regularly with new stock although sometimes the item you are looking for will not appear until it has been uploaded to the website.

If your item is not listed it could be possible that a new key fob case is not yet available although we may still be able to repair the internal components.

Q. Why are your keys and remote fobs cheaper than the main dealer?

A. Most main dealers will not be able to supply you with a blank remote key fob case, 100% of main dealers will not be able to supply you with a remote key fob D.I.Y repair kit and 100% of main dealers do not offer a remote key fob repair service.

Here at Expresskeyfobs we are able to source various aftermarket suppliers and provide a cost effective replacement at a fraction of the cost of a brand new key.

Q. How do I know if I am purchasing the right key or remote fob for my car?

A. We would advise you to ask questions before buying any product on our site to check that the item you are buying is indeed the correct one for your vehicle we may ask you to email a photo of your original key or remote fob just to make sure we supply you with the correct part at the first time of asking please use our Contact Us form.
